Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash Young Soloist 2008 - Applications now closed

2007 "Celebration of our Youth" Splash soloists - Sahara Sloan, Carolyn Tsao and Timothy Chooi

Winners have the honour of appearing as soloists with the Victoria Symphony, conducted by Maestra Tania Miller on August 3, 2008 in Victoria's Inner Harbour.

Applicants must be residents of Vancouver Island. This includes students whose permanent residence is located on Vancouver Island but who are currently studying elsewhere.

All applications will be considered. Selected applicants will audition at a designated time. Each audition will be approximately 15 minutes in duration. The judge's decision will be final.

Contestants should provide their own accompanist and two original copies of their selection. If a contestant is unable to provide an accompanist, the Victoria Symphony can arrange an accompanist at the contestant's expense. If a chosen contestant is unable to fulfill the rehearsal dates and /or the concert date (August 3 2008) he or she must notify the Victoria Symphony immediately. Selected soloists are required to rehearse twice with the Victoria Symphony on August 1 and 2.
