Education and Outreach concerts
Musicians in Schools
Open Rehearsals
The Victoria Symphony's Education and Outreach concerts are designed to be a fun and engaging experience for students in grades K-7.
February 25 to 27 in Victoria and April 30 in Duncan.
Did you know that it was once believed that each planet had its own harmony? Music Director Tania Miller has written "Music of the Spheres" to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first telescopic observations of the cosmos. Students will learn about Galileo and the exciting world of astronomy while exploring music that was inspired by the Universe.
The concerts take place at the UVic Centre and the Cowichan Theatre. Public school teachers can book directly through their school board and Independent schools can book through the UVic Box Office 250. 721.8480. Bookings will begin in the fall.

Bring musicians from the Victoria Symphony to your school!
Catering to groups of 30 to 300, Musicians in Schools aims to introduce students to different instruments, musical styles and give them a glimpse into the world of our hard-working musicians. Musicians in Schools will run in February-March 2009.
This season we will be offering a greater number of ensembles to more schools in the Victoria School District.
Stay tuned for more details.
