Victoria Symphony Society Privacy Statement
The Victoria Symphony Society respects your right to privacy. Personal information
includes, but is not limited to, name, address, telephone number, email address,
and credit card information. The Victoria Symphony Society does not sell,
lend, or exchange any of this information. The Victoria Symphony Society publishes
the names of donors in its concert programmes as per the donors' wishes.
- Collection of Personal Information
The Victoria Symphony Society may require personal information in order
to complete a transaction such as a single ticket purchase, a subscription
order, or a donation. This information is not shared or sold to third parties.
- Storage of Information
Personal information is stored in our databases and in hard copy files.
Only authorized Victoria Symphony Society personnel have access to the information
they require to do their job. The Victoria Symphony Society takes appropriate
measures to secure this information.
- Mailing Lists
The Victoria Symphony Society may use your personal information to contact
you periodically about special events, changes to our organization, updated
concert information, and fundraising efforts. Any mail pieces sent to you
by the Victoria Symphony Society after January 1, 2004, will offer you the
option of being removed from our mailing lists.
- Use of Information
The Victoria Symphony Society uses personal information to improve our service
to patrons and to expand our community. Our uses include:
- Mailings and/or phone calls to provide information about tickets and
donations
- Mailings and/or phone calls to sell subscriptions and tickets
- Mailings and/or phone calls to thank supporters and donors
- Mailings and/or phone calls to invite supporters to special events
- Mailings to inform supporters of our financial needs
- Financial Information
The Victoria Symphony Society will protect the personal financial information
you give us. We will use your credit card information only to process your
payment for the purchase or donation you are making. We retain order information
for our records. This information is not shared with third parties.
- Cookies
The Victoria Symphony Society web site does not use cookies in any part
of it. The only information collected is that of normal logs, which include
the IP address of the visitors along with other basic information, such
as the state and or country the visitors are from, what web sites they visited
prior to coming to the VSS web site (the referrer link) and other minor
details. This information is usually used for marketing purposes but is
not "collected" specifically by the web site, but by the server which serves
the web site. No form data on the web site is ever saved or stored on the
web site server, but instead is mailed to an appropriate e-mail address.
No private information is collected by our website.
