Our mission is to entertain our patrons with the very best orchestral music on Vancouver Island. But did you know we also consider it our job to bring that very same great music to schools and community groups?
We are an orchestra with an eye on the future of music in our community. By presenting educational concerts and sending our Youth Council volunteers to elementary schools from Sooke to Saltspring, music finds a place in all of our lives. We are providing a first, and possibly only, introduction to orchestral music and its incredible benefits to these children. Please make a donation to the Victoria Symphony so children of today become music lovers of tomorrow.
Honor your loved one or celebrate a special date in a truly distinctive way. For some Victoria Symphony Patrons it is the perfect way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation or the memory of a special person. A souvenir card from the Victoria Symphony will go to the person or the family of the person you are honoring.
The Rewards
Donating to your Symphony—becoming a member and participating in its future—is an important personal decision. We believe that supporting the Symphony provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to this community. In return we:
- List your name in our program (donors of $75 and over)
- Provide a charitable tax receipt
- Provide an opportunity to meet other people who are interested in music and culture
- Host a donor recognition reception
- Host a special rehearsal for donors and sponsors
- Provide opportunities to meet your orchestra and conductors
