sinks or swims by its volunteers. We need you for a
variety of tasks leading up to and during the festival! Here are the
volunteer crews you can join:
Donation Barrel Crew: Donations are the
main source of revenue for this fundraising event. This crew needs
energetic, entrepreneurial-spirited people who can help solicit
donations from the crowd. If you like to crack jokes and rhapsodize
about the merits of the Symphony, this job is for you!
Security: We need diplomatic, enthusiastic
people to work during the event to help direct pedestrian and
automobile traffic, maintain a safe environment and respond to
inquiries. We also need volunteers to set-up and strike the site.
We also have a variety of other volunteer positions.

Volunteer Guild and vsYOUTH
The Victoria Symphony Volunteer Guild is devoted to helping the symphony in a variety of ways, from assisting at concerts to helping raise awareness of the orchestra in the community. The Volunteer Guild is currently in the midst of this year's major fund raising initiative: the Raffle, with a fantastic twelve day cruise for two as the Grand Prize.
Activities that help with symphony operations include:
- Program distribution - Guild volunteers distribute programs at symphony concerts in rotation.
- Office assistance - Members assist with mass mail-outs and provide other office services when needed.
Membership in the Guild is $15.00 annually. Contact Edie Jefferson, Membership Secretary, 250-386-1594, for further membership information.
